Pasar Raya Indonesia 2018 celebrates the 73rd anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day. The event reflects the richness of Indonesia’s traditions and cultural heritage, presented with the theme: Culture, Music and Culinary.
The event focuses on dance and music performances, street food and traditional dishes at the Food Bazaar and handicrafts and textiles including batik at the Product Bazaar. There will be at least 33 food stalls selling culinary treats, ranging from street food to diverse signature dishes from different regions of Indonesia. More than 25 stalls will promote different products and services including batik, t-shirts and other clothing, handicrafts, accessories, souvenirs, packaged street foods, tropical plants, sambals and chili sauces, seasonings and spices.
PRI 2018 will showcase over 20 performances over the three days, including dances from Sumatra, Java and Bali. In addition, the event will feature different genres of Indonesia music, ranging from dang-dut to rock and pop. We will also hold a three-day Poco-Poco dance competition—a popular line dance, a first for Pasar Raya Indonesia!
With enthusiastic visitors during Pasar Raya Indonesia 2017, new and refreshed programs for this year, we are confident that PRI 2018 will be even more successful. We hope to draw more than 20,000 visitors during the three-day festivities.
